Which size AIRO?
Is AIRO 12" the right size for my child?
AIRO 12" is one size and includes an adjustable seat post which means it can grow as your child does. We often have parents ask is our balance bike suitable for a 2 year old. AIRO 12" suitability is not dependant on height or age but their inside leg measurement. It will accommodate inside leg measurements of 30cm to 46cm / 11.8" to 18.1” (approximately 18 months to 5 years). We do sell a shortened seat post aimed at those 1 in 500 gnarly riders with a 29cm-31cm inside leg who were born riding off road or over bumps. The original seat post is fine on its lowest setting on flat or nearly flat ground.
Is AIRO 14" the right size for my child?
AIRO 14" is one size and includes an adjustable seat post which means it can grow as your child does. AIRO 14" suitability is not dependant on height or age but their inside leg measurement. It will accommodate inside leg measurements of 40cm to 53cm / 15.7" to 20.8” (approximately 3.5+years).
How high should the seat be?
The seat height should be adjusted so when the child is sitting with both their feet flat on the ground they have a slight bend in their knees. For long distance on smooth ground the height can be slightly raised, for off roading the saddle should be slightly lower. The seat post diameter is approximately 2.5cm on AIRO.
What should the tyre pressure be?
Maintaining the correct tyre pressure will help to extend the life of your tyres, improve safety and ensure a smooth ride. We recommend that the front and back tyres on the AIRO should be inflated to 20-30 PSI (1.5-2.0 BAR).
